OPA Volunteer Recognition

The OPA Board of Directors recognized the contributions of our Honour Societies and School Site Councils during the April Board meeting.

Our Honour Societies are made up of parents and teachers who work tirelessly to promote the success of the entire OPA community. They work collaboratively with our schools to help organize, support, and fund many programs that enhance the overall educational experience and achievement of our champions. They include grade-level meet-ups, assemblies, cultural events, field days, book fairs, festivals, art supplies, resources, equipment, and science labs, as well as programs such as Art Masters, field trips, and Walk-Throughs, among countless other things.

Quite simply, we could not operate as a school without the support and volunteerism of our Honour Societies. They play a critical role in the everyday operations of our schools and provide the foundation on which the strong relationship between our families and the school is built.

School Site Councils play an important role in the development and evaluation of OPA's education goals and objectives that aim to improve student achievement. The Councils are made up of parents, staff, and administrators who meet throughout the year to provide counsel and a forum for discussion of specific needs that might arise at the school site.

We are thankful for our School Site councils and Honour Societies for their ongoing support and contribution to the OPA community.
